Comparing Journalism Sources – Micro-research Assignment
This is a short writing assignment that asks students to compare how a single news story is told by different types of news outlets. I use this assignment in a media literacy class on a day in which we talk about the development of the notion of “objectivity” in journalism and the contested cultural authority of professional journalism.
