This course is required for all seniors before completing their senior thesis project, and it’s designed to lead directly into that project. It has three distinct parts: a discussion of a number of theoretical/ethical/paradigmatic themes, a section of mini-projects revolving around a number of media research methods, and finally, a review of literature on the subject of the student’s choice. The mini-projects have been quite successful in their goal, which is simply to get students out into the field prior to beginning their senior theses.
